Leonie’s a hugely successful business owner who’s created her own half million dollar a year company in the space of a few hours a day (she’s a mama + really honours work-life balance). What’s more, she’s heart-centered, honest, a bit of a swear bear (okay, a LOT of a swear bear!) and a total open book about what works and what doesn’t.
Her Amazing Biz and Life Academy is something that just hasn’t been done anywhere else before – she gives away over $3800 of her business, marketing, meditation, spirituality, creativity, health and home programs for a ridiculously tiny price – all because she wants to help as MANY women as possible have their own amazing lives and businesses.
The Academy Success Stories are out of this world, and are inspiring just to read in their own right! Make sure you take some time today to check it out!

Well, it's been a bit of a rollercoaster.....

So much has happened.  Here I am at day 178 - can you believe it?!

Firstly, I got to see a gastroenterologist in July.  He was amazed and appalled that the doctors had left me for so long without doing anything.  When he asked me how long I had had the diarrhoea, I replied 50 days.  15 days he asked, no, I replied, 50, five zero.  He looked shocked, stood and walked out of the office.  After only a few minutes he returned and announced that he had added me to his Monday's surgery list as this was beyond urgent, I burst into tears!  Then he apologised for not being able to do something for me sooner!  (It was 4 o'clock on a Friday afternoon.)

It was a long weekend, let me tell you.  Plus, having to drink all that stuff for bowel prep (like my bowels needed anymore cleaning out!!!)

Anyways, I was admitted.  The lovely staff made me comfortable and not too far from a toilet!  I walked into theatre and announced, "my son will be so jealous.... I have the machine that goes Bing!"  The specialist, anaesthetist and nurse burst into laughter :-)  I guess they don't get too many patients quoting monty python as they are about to have a procedure of any description!  As I was given the anaesthetic, the nurse put the oxygen over my mouth and said, "now you have the machine that goes whoosh, whoosh!."  I went to sleep laughing.

All went well, the specialist telling me in recovery that he was almost certain that I have Crohn's disease, most definitely an Inflammatory Bowel Disease, but he would know more when all the biopsy test results came back.  I was severely dehydrated (really?) and wasn't allowed to go home until 4 bags of saline had been pumped into my system.

So, here I am...

The specialist wants me to begin Immuno-suppressant medication.  I am not so keen as the side effects are quite horrific!

Switching to a Paleo diet was a relief, but by no means anywhere close to remission.  I have now started the Auto Immune Protocol (AIP) diet, an elimination diet that is still Paleo, but even stricter.  Loads of information at www.thepaleomom.com on AIP.  So far, it hasn't helped me anymore and I am still where I was when I switched to Paleo.

It's very frustrating and disappointing when you read peoples blogs who have made the switch to Paleo and ta-da, they're all better!  Not so for me :-(  I have started to see a naturopath, so hopefully I shall see some improvement soon.

Now to start making my home less toxic, you know all the cleaning and washing stuff around the house!

Fingers crossed :-)
